Alarm Does Not Sound During Windows Media Player File Playback (303898)

SYMPTOMS

When you are playing sounds in Microsoft Windows Media Player on a Pocket PC with the Repeat sound check box selected, alarms are displayed but may not be accompanied by the usual alarm sound.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, clear the Repeat sound check box by following these steps:
  1. Tap Start, tap Settings, tap System, tap Clock, and then tap Alarms.
  2. Open the alarm settings, and then tap to clear the Repeat sound check box.
  3. Tap OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
