When you attempt to access a secure Web site (such as an Internet banking Web site), you may receive the following error message:
The identity certificate uses an unknown signature algorithm.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.5 or earlier. The issue occurs because the earlier Web browsers do not support the newer security certificates that are used by many secure Web sites.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, download and install Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 Macintosh Edition from the following Microsoft Web site:
