IntelliType: Calculator Hot Key Unexpectedly Starts the Internet (303502)

SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to use the Calculator hot key to start Calculator, it may start your Internet browser instead of Calculator.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the IntelliType Pro software has become corrupted, or your system has another third-party keyboard software program installed.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the method that is appropriate for your situation.
Method 1: Reinstall IntelliType- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the list of installed programs, click Microsoft IntelliType, and then click Add/Remove.
- In the InstallShield Wizard dialog box, click Remove, and then click Next.
- When the removal process is complete, restart your computer.
- Reinstall your IntelliType software.NOTE: If this does not resolve the issue, use Method 2.
Method 2: Turn off Third-Party Product- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type msconfig, and then click OK.
- In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click the Startup tab.
- Click to clear the check box of any third-party keyboard software you are using.
NOTE: If you are using a Compaq keyboard, click to clear the CPQINET check box. - Click Apply, and then click OK.
- Restart your computer.
- Perform Method 1 again if necessary.
