ACC2000: Error Message Appears When You Try to Use Access 2000/Jet 4.0 Internet Replication (303380)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use Access 2000/Jet 4.0 Internet replication, one of the following error messages may appear on the client computer:
The requested exchange failed because partner member in the replica set is not being managed.
or
Requested exchange failed because 'Partner replica is exclusively locked; could not apply changes'.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the NTFS file system permissions for the Internet Information Services (IIS) Anonymous user have been removed from the folder that contains the database that you are synchronizing.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, restore the IIS Anonymous user (IUSR_computer name) permissions to the folder on the Web server that you are synchronizing to.
