XCCC: Edited Meeting Access Pages Are Not Upgraded With Exchange Conferencing Server Service Pack 1 (303095)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server

This article was previously published under Q303095

SYMPTOMS

After you install Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server Service Pack 1 (SP1), one or more meeting access pages may be blank and may not contain any content.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because you have modified one or more of the Conferencing Server meeting access pages. By design, meeting access pages that have been modified are not upgraded with the installation of Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server SP1 and are not supported.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, if you backed up the original meeting access pages, restore them to their original location, and then apply SP1.

Note: By default, the meeting access pages are stored in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Exchange Conferencing Server\Conferencing\loc folder, where loc is the localized directory for your language.

To properly upgrade:
  1. Back up the customized meeting access page (or pages) or the Conferencing\loc folder to retain a copy of your customizations.
  2. Delete the custom meeting access pages and restore the original access pages.
  3. Install Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server SP1.
