SYMPTOMS
After you use the Custom Installation Wizard to install Microsoft Office 2000, including removal of all Office 97 components, when you try to start Access 2000 by using a desktop shortcut, the following error message may appear:
Object variable or with block variable not set
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the file that the desktop shortcut refers to is invalid after the Office 2000 upgrade.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, either start Access 2000 from the Start menu, or delete the old desktop shortcut and then create a new one.
