OL2001: You Cannot Drag Outlook Items to a Folder Alias (301122)

When you try to drag any type of Outlook 2001 for Mac item to an alias of a folder on the file system or to a network volume, you may receive the following error message:
The drag and drop operation could not be completed. An error occurred while writing to the disk. The disk might be full or write-protected.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, either drag and drop items to your desktop first and then to the alias, or drag and drop the items to the original folder or network volume.
