When you attempt to retrieve the client permissions of a public folder in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server with Service Pack 1 (SP1), you may receive the following error message:
The information store could not be opened.
The Logon to the Microsoft Exchange server computer failed.

CAUSE
This problem can occur if the last server in that public folder's replica list is unavailable or cannot be contacted by the computer that is running Exchange System Manager.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
