FIX: SQL Profiler Stops Responding When Saving Output to Hard Disk That Is Out of Space (300388)

This article was previously published under Q300388 BUG #: 235210 (SHILOH_BUGS) SYMPTOMS When saving replay output, SQL Server Profiler may stop
responding.
CAUSE The hard disk to which the output is being saved is out of
space. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest
service pack for SQL Server 2000. For additional information, click the

NOTE: Although this problem is corrected in SQL Server 2000 Service
Pack 1, the replay output may still be truncated if there is insufficient free
disk space. WORKAROUND Delete unneeded files to free some space on the disk or
save the output to a disk with sufficient free space. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a
problem in SQL Server 2000.
This problem was first corrected in SQL Server 2000
Service Pack 1.
