Installation Difficulties Occur After You Click "Skip" in the "Service Stop" Dialog Box During Setup (300328)

SYMPTOMS

During the setup process, a Service Stop dialog box offers you a Stop option and a Skip option. After you click Skip, the Setup program may encounter difficulties during the rest of the installation.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because Setup needs to stop the OnePoint service so that the system can copy the Timecoordination.dll file to the Microsoft SQL Server directory. Skipping this step can cause difficulties in later phases of the installation.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, click Stop, not Skip, in the Service Stop dialog box.
