SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or System Configuration Editor (Sysedit.exe), the editor window briefly opens and then closes.
You can, however, start these programs when Windows is running in Safe mode.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur when your computer is infected with the PWSteal.Trojan program.
RESOLUTIONMicrosoft does not provide software that can detect or remove computer viruses. If you suspect or confirm that your computer is infected with a virus, obtain current antivirus software.
