SYMPTOMS

When you stop the NNTP Server Instance and change the default virtual directory to point to a drive that contains newsgroups, you may receive the following error message in the Event Viewer when you rebuild:
Error -2147024773 _ERROR_INVALID_NAME

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if the server encounters newsgroups with special characters in the newsgroup name.

RESOLUTION
