Memory Leak in WMEncoder.SendScript Method (299874)

The SendScript method sends script to Microsoft Windows Media Encoder. To broadcast text, you can send a data string of "TEXT" type to the encoder. When Windows Media Player receives the data string, it interprets the string as captioned text and displays it in the caption window. However, there are memory leaks in the WMEncoder.SendScript method in Windows Media Encoder 7.0 Software Development Kit (SDK). You can observe the memory leaks in the Windows Performance Monitor.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use Windows Media Encoder 7.1 SDK. To upgrade to version 7.1, see the following Microsoft Web site:
