OL2002: Outlook View Control Is Blank (299786)

SYMPTOMS

You use the Outlook View Control in a solution, but instead of seeing the contents of the Inbox, the control is blank.

CAUSE

The Folder property of the control was not set to the Inbox.

RESOLUTION

You must explicitly set the Folder property of the control to the Inbox.

STATUS

There are no plans to change this behavior in future versions of the Outlook View Control.

MORE INFORMATION

If the Microsoft Outlook 2000 View Control's Folder property is not set, the control displays the contents of the Inbox at runtime. However, this behavior is changed in the Outlook 2002 View Control, which does not display the contents of the Inbox if the Folder property is not set.
