Error 0x80040102 occurs when you try to mount a store (299680)

After you create a new mailbox store in Exchange System Manager, the new store fails to mount and the following event ID message is logged in the Application event log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event Category: General
Event ID: 9519
Computer: ServerName
Description:
Error 0x80040102 starting database "Storage Group Name\New Store Name" on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.
Only new stores do not mount; existing stores mount. Note This event ID may also be logged when you try to mount mailbox stores after you install Exchange 2000 by using the /disasterrecovery switch on a rebuilt server. CAUSE
This issue can occur because the computer account for the Exchange 2000 computer does not have Full Control permissions on the server object.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use Exchange System Manager to give Full Control permissions to the computer account:
- In Exchange System Manager, click to expand to the server object.
- Open the properties of the server object, and then click the Security tab.
- Click Add, add the computer account for the Exchange Server computer, click OK, and then OK to close the properties. NOTE: If you cannot locate the computer account, it may have been deleted. In this case, you must create a new computer account.

- Mount the new store. You do not have to restart services.
