OL2000: Cannot Save Multiple Attachments to Long Paths (299650)

SYMPTOMS


If you try to save multiple attachments to very long paths, you may receive the following error message:
The File name is not valid.

CAUSE

This problem can occur because a function used an OpenFile() call rather than a CreateFile() call, which was limited to 128 characters in total.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
