This article was previously published under Q299524 SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to send items that are based on a form that you created from an Outlook Custom Form Template that is based on Microsoft Word as the e-mail editor, and you use Word features to protect fields within the body of these items, you may receive the following error message:
This method or property is not available because the object refers to a
protected area of the document.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the Always check spelling before sending option is enabled. When you use an Outlook WordMail form with protected fields, the spelling checker is unable to access these fields.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, disable the spelling checker in Outlook:
- In Outlook, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the Spelling tab.
- Click to clear the Always check spelling before sending check box, and then click OK.
