SYMPTOMS

When you start Windows Media Player, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following error message:
Windows Media Player Error
XML Parse Error: Line: 132 Column: 9
Failed to find token: =
  | id="volume" zindex="2"
----^

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you start Windows Media Player while the Sony CD Extreme program is installed and running on your computer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, quit the Sony CD Extreme program before you start Windows Media Player.
