When you play audio files with Windows Media Player, the audio may be interrupted when you attempt to make a dial-up connection.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because the modem driver in your computer uses higher priority threads; or, the modem driver has been directly accessing the processor for such an extended period of time that the audio playback process has been affected.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
