Windows Media Player Files May Be Overwritten When Transferred to a Portable Device (297730)

In Windows Media Player, files may be overwritten if they have the same name when you transfer them to a portable device. For example, this could occur in Windows Media Player if you transfer a file named Example.wma to a portable device that already contains a file named Example.wma in the destination folder.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, rename the source file or the file on the portable device before you transfer the file. For information about how to rename a file, click Start, click Help and Support, type renaming in the Search box, press ENTER, and then click the "Change the name of a file or folder" topic.
