Style changes when you copy and paste a text box grouped with another shape (296808)

SYMPTOMS

When you group a text box with another shape and then copy and paste the group as a picture, the text style changes.

CAUSE

This problem occurs with versions of Powerpnt.exe that are equal to or later than 9.0.0.4527. To determine the version of Powerpnt.exe that your computer is running, follow these steps:
  1. Start PowerPoint and open any document.
  2. On the Tools menu, point to Macro and then click Visual Basic Editor.
  3. In the Visual Basic Editor, click Immediate Window on the View menu.
  4. In the Immediate window, type the following text, and then press ENTER:

    ?application.build

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3).
