SYMPTOMS

When you play back Windows Media content that was created in the Windows Media Encoder with the Windows Media Screen codec, the video image and fonts are distorted.

CAUSE

Screen capture content is best viewed at the size at which it was captured.

RESOLUTION

To ensure that the video is played back at the original size, follow these steps:
  1. When you capture the video, note the screen size at which you are capturing.
  2. Use an embedded Windows Media Player to play back the content. An embedded player lets you specify the size of the player.
