SUMMARY

This article describes how to delete and then recreate a dial-up networking (DUN) connectoid on a Windows 98-based computer, when you are using Outlook 97, 98, 2000, or 2002.

  1. Double-click My Computer, and then click Dial-up Networking.
  2. Right-click the icon that represents your connection, and then click Properties.
  3. Write down the information about the connection properties, and then click OK.
  4. On the File menu, click Delete.
  5. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
  6. On the Connections menu, click Make New Connection to start the New Connection Wizard, and then follow the instructions in the wizard to create your new DUN connectoid.
  7. In Control Panel, double-click Mail, and then click the Connection tab or the Dial-up Networking tab.
  8. Click Dial using the following connection, click the account from the drop-down list, and then click OK.
