When you save a Web page in Internet Explorer, you are unable to find a shortcut to your Favorites folder.
You expect a shortcut to the Favorites folder to appear in the Save Web Page dialog box.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, save the Web page to the My Documents folder, and then create a shortcut to it in the Favorites folder:
- Start Internet Explorer and browse to the desired Web page.
- On the File menu, click Save As.
- In the Save Web Page dialog box, in the File name box, type the name that you want (such as My Saved Web Page), and then in the Save in list, click My Documents, and then click Save.
- On the File menu, click Open.
- In the Open dialog box, click Browse.
- In the Look in list, click My Documents, and then double-click the _files folder that has the name that you typed in step 3. For example My Saved Web Page_files.
- Click the page that you want, click Open, and then click OK to have Internet Explorer open the Web page.
- On the Favorites menu, click Add to Favorites.
- Click OK to add the page to your Favorites list.
The locally saved page now appears in your Favorites list.
