Cannot Assign an Owner to an Entire Group of Alerts All at Once (296038)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), you can select multiple alerts on which to collectively modify the resolution state. However, you cannot set an Owner for the whole group of alerts. To set the Owner, you must edit each alert individually.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

To assign an Owner for an alert, follow these steps:
  1. Within the MOM Administrator Console, expand Monitor, and then click All Open Alerts.
  2. In the right pane, right-click the alert that you want to modify, and then click Properties.
  3. On the State tab, enter the person to whom you want to assign the alert.
