SYMPTOMS
After you uninstall Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2000, the uninstallation process may leave traces of MOM on your computer.
WORKAROUNDWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
To work around this problem after you uninstall MOM 2000:
- In SQL Enterprise Manager, open Servername\Databases\OnePoint, right-click the OnePoint database, and then click Delete.
- Delete the installation folder, for example, if MOM 2000 was installed to D:\Program Files\Operations Manager, delete the Operations Manager folder.
- Use Regedt32.exe to delete the following registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mission Critical Software
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\OnePoint
