  • Microsoft Office Keyboard, when used with:
    • Microsoft IntelliType Pro software 2.0
    • Microsoft IntelliType Pro software 2.1

This article was previously published under Q295492

SYMPTOMS

When you press the REDO hot key on the Microsoft Office Keyboard, the Redo operation may not run as expected.

MORE INFORMATION

The performance of the REDO hot key relies on the program in which you are using it to recognize the universal keyboard shortcut CTRL+Y. If the program does not recognize this shortcut command, the REDO hot key does not perform as expected.

The following is a list of programs that do not use the CTRL+Y keyboard shortcut.
  • Microsoft Excel 2000
  • Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0
  • Microsoft Access 97
  • Microsoft Excel 97 Publisher 97
  • Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 2001
To determine whether a given program recognizes the CTRL+Y shortcut, click the Edit menu. If the Edit menu includes the Redo command (and possibly the keyboard shortcut CTRL+Y next to it), the REDO hot key should perform as expected in this program.
