SYMPTOMS

Under stress, the following error responses may be returned to the client occasionally:
502 Proxy Error (Software caused the connection to abort)
502 Proxy Error (Network logon failed)
This issue may occur under the following bridging and chaining configuration:

Client ------> ISA Server 1 -----> ISA Server 2 ----------> Server (IIS)
        HTTP                 SSL                 SSL/HTTP
					

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Internet Security and Acceleration Server service pack that contains this hotfix.
