SYMPTOMS When you move a text box by dragging the text box anchor
symbol to a new line, you may receive the following error message: Microsoft
Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience.

an error signature that is similar to the error message that is listed at the
beginning of this article. CAUSE Word may quit unexpectedly if the all of the following
conditions are true:
- Track Changes on the Tools menu is turned on.
- Show/Hide formatting marks on the Formatting toolbar is turned on.
- You insert a text box at the end of a line.
- You drag the text box anchor to another line.
WORKAROUND To work around this problem, move the text box by clicking
and dragging it. Do not click and drag the text box anchor symbol.
