XCCC: Message Processor Restarts After Second Push Attempt. (293654)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Mobile Information 2001 Server
- Microsoft Mobile Information Server 2002
This article was previously published under Q293654 SUMMARY
An Internet Information Services (IIS) program processes the Microsoft Mobile Information Server "Push" notification component. If a user or another process quits the program that runs Httpcontext.dll, the Message Processor automatically restarts when the second "Push" notification attempted after the program quits.
The IIS program does not respond to the first "Push" notification and you receive the following event ID messages in the Mobile Information Server Application event log:
Event ID: 268
Source: Mobile Information Server
Type: Error
Description:
Unexpected HTTP status code 500 was received from the Mobile Information Server. Check your network connectivity.
Event ID: 1026
Source: Mobile Information Server
Type: Information
Description:
Message delivery to the Message Processor failed for Message ID xxxxxxxx@domain.com,
Device http://mmisnotify/Exchange2000EES/mailbox/msg
MORE INFORMATION
You can ignore the event ID messages and the next message that the Mobile Information Server system processes is successful because the program restarts automatically.
