SYMPTOMS
When a view is sorted by conversation topic, and you initiate a search for an item but cancel the search before it is complete, Outlook may lose track of which items (threads) were open. This may result in the collapse of all threads.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
