OL2002: 'Send Options' Is Available from the Context Menu of the Contacts Field (292842)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Outlook 2002, if you successfully link two existing contacts, right-click the name of the linked contact listed in the Contacts box, and then click Send Options, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot perform the requested operation. The command selected is not valid for this recipient. To set options for this message, click Options on the toolbar.

WORKAROUND

Use the following steps to work around this problem:
  1. Open the contact from the Contacts folder.
  2. Double-click the underlined, linked contact. This opens the contact form.
  3. On the Actions menu, click New Message to Contact.
  4. A new pre-addressed message opens. In the message, click the Options button on the toolbar, and then select the options that you want.
