SYMPTOMS

When you view a reply to a message that you have sent, you may notice the following behaviors:
  • Symbols that you inserted into the original message are incorrect.
  • Tables that you inserted into the original message are not displayed.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
  • You configure Microsoft Outlook to send e-mail in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format.
  • You configure Outlook to use Microsoft Word as its e-mail editor.
  • You reply to the sent message by using the Qualcomm Eudora e-mail program.
Some inserted symbols are not translated correctly between the different HTML formatting methods used by Outlook and Eudora.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use Outlook to reply to HTML-formatted e-mail messages that contain tables and symbols.
