SYMPTOMS
When you click
Renew, the Graphical IPConfig utility (Wntipcfg.exe) may return the following error message:
Error 2: Renewing adapter "{AC78607A-B557-41AC-A0F5-FA1465C34B2D}"
where "{AC78607A-B557-41AC-A0F5-FA1465C34B2D}" is an example. You may receive a different value.
This problem may appear if you remove a network adapter while the computer is turned off (and do not remove the network adapter driver first) and then install a new, different network adapter.
