SYMPTOMS

When you pass a Microsoft Visual Basic property bag with a COM+ component as ByVal, one of the following errors may occur:
Runtime Error 13 Type Mismatch

-or-

Runtime Error 5 Invalid procedure call or argument
This fails under Microsoft Windows 2000 if both components are in the same COM+ application, and ByVal is passed to the property bag as a string.

RESOLUTION
