This article was previously published under Q290036

SYMPTOMS

When you forward a message that contains a script-generated table after adding comments above the table, the table appears above your comments when the recipient opens the message. This behavior occurs only when you use Microsoft Word as the Outlook e-mail editor.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use the Outlook editor instead of Word:
  1. In Outlook 2002, on the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click to clear the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box, and then click OK.
  3. Double-click the mail message that contains the script-generated table, and then click Forward.
  4. Type your comments, and then click Send.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
