FP2002: List Views Disappear When You Edit a SharePoint Team Web Site from Disk (289313)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft FrontPage 2002, if you open a home page from a SharePoint team Web site directly from the hard disk and save it, most of your list views are no longer available.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if the Web components, such as ListView and ListForm, are not expanded when you open the page. If you save the page, the lists are not retained.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem and retain the lists, follow these steps:
  1. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, open the page with which you are having a problem.
  2. On the File menu, click Edit with Microsoft FrontPage.
  3. In FrontPage, click Save on the File menu.
  4. In Internet Explorer, press F5 to refresh the page.

    The links are restored.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
