XL2001: Font on Custom Button Does Not Maintain Settings (288880)

If you create a button on an Excel worksheet from the Forms toolbar and make any font customizations, the button returns to its default appearance. You can only see the button customizations while editing.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when you do the following:
- You insert a button from the Forms toolbar into a worksheet.
- You format the font by changing the Font, Font Style, Size, Underline, Color, or any other font setting on the Font tab of the Format Object dialog box.
-or-
You open a document that contains one or more buttons with font customizations that was created in another version of Microsoft Excel.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel X for Mac.
