The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Application Center 2000

This article was previously published under Q288308

SYMPTOMS

During the removal of the last cluster member from an Application Center 2000 cluster, the administrative option to Disband Cluster may be available on other instances of the Application Center 2000 Microsoft Management Console snap-in. If Disband Cluster is selected when the last cluster member is in the removal process, then the Application Center cluster configuration or the TCP/IP configuration may become misconfigured.

RESOLUTION

Do not select Disband Cluster until the removal task has completed on the last cluster member. If the Application Center 2000 cluster configuration becomes misconfigured, then the following command line can be used to remove all cluster configuration information from the effected servers.

WARNING: The following command will remove all Application Center cluster configuration information.

AC CLUSTER /CLEAN

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Application Center 2000.
