OL2002: The Subject Line Is Blank When You Check the Addressee Properties (288089)

When you create a message in Outlook 2002 with Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor and you check the properties of a name from the either the To or the Cc fields, the Subject line becomes blank or reverts to a previously saved text. This only applies when you use contacts from a Global Address list in a Microsoft Exchange server.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, click Save on the File menu, to save the message before you check the properties of the recipient.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
