OL2002: The Reply Text Font Is Incorrect When You Change the Format of a Message (287820)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft Outlook Rich Text (RTF) format to reply to a plain text formatted message, the RTF font format settings are not applied.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, change the message format of the reply message to the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format instead of the RTF format. To do this, click Rely, and then click HTML on the Format menu while the original plain text message is open.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
