OL2002: Secure Meetings Do Not Display As Private on the Calendar (287794)

In Outlook 2002, when you create a Microsoft Exchange Conferencing meeting request and you apply a password, the default behavior is to publish the meeting on the calendar as public information. The option to set the meeting to the Private sensitivity level is not automatically enabled. This means that the password is present for all who view the calendar, and defeats the security.
CAUSE
This behavior is by design.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior and make these types of items hidden to users who have access to the Calendar folder, mark the item as Private sensitivity. To do this:
- On the File menu, point to New, and then click Meeting Request.
- Click to select the Private check box in the form.
After you mark the meeting request as Private sensitivity, other users of the folder should not be able to view the contents of the appointment after you send it. The meeting should appear as a "Private Appointment" to the other folder users.
