This article was previously published under Q287604 SUMMARY This article describes how to connect to MSN, the Microsoft
Network, e-mail accounts. Currently, MSN offers the following three types of
e-mail accounts:
- MSN Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3) account. This is
a fee-based account that also provides access to the Internet and many other
member benefits.
- MSN Web-based account. This is a fee-based account that is
available to MSN 9 Dial-up, MSN Premium, and MSN Hotmail Plus
subscribers.
- Microsoft Outlook Connector for MSN. This is a
subscription-based product that is currently available to MSN 9.0 Premium
customers. Outlook Connector for MSN works in the background. With this
product, users can use Microsoft Outlook to manage one set of communication
tools such as their contact list, task list, e-mail inbox, and calendar in the
office or at home. Outlook Connector for MSN is compatible with Microsoft
Outlook 2002 and Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and has the following features:
- 25-megabyte (MB) inbox
- 10 MB attachment
- 39 MB group storage
