The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

This article was previously published under Q287549

SYMPTOMS

When you preview the pages for your Web, the button that represents the current page is displayed as a red X instead of an image in the vertical Navigation bar.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you apply the BluePrint theme to a FrontPage Web. Even after you publish the Web, the images that represent the currently displayed page are not displayed in the vertical Navigation bar.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Copy the Files into the Web Manually

  1. Locate the _derived folder.

NOTE: This folder is located in the content area for the Web. For example, if the Web is on your local computer at C:\My Documents\My Web, the _derived folder will be in the My Web folder.
  2. On the View menu, click Details.
  3. Select the file Page name.htm_cmp_blueprnt0101_htbtn_p.gif, where Page name is the name of the page in the Web.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
  5. On the Edit menu, click Paste to paste a duplicate copy in the same directory for renaming.
  6. Rename the copied page to Page name.htm_cmp_blueprnt0101_vtbtn_p.gif.
  7. Repeat this process for all pages that contain the file name ending of _htbtn_p.gif.

Method 2: Select a Different Theme

  1. On the Format menu, click Theme.
  2. Select a theme other than BluePrint.
  3. Click Apply.
