Configuring the Automatic Refresh Settings for Dashboards (287329)

This article was previously published under Q287329 SYMPTOMS When you configure the automatic refresh interval for a
SharePoint Portal Server dashboard to a small number, it can adversely affect
the performance of the server and cause clients to have problems connecting to
the workspace. CAUSE The Digital Dashboard framework allows the refresh interval
to be set as low as one second. However, it is not recommended that you set the
refresh rate to lower than five minutes (300 seconds). MORE INFORMATION You can change the refresh frequency of a dashboard by
clicking the Settings link in the top right corner of the currently displayed
dashboard, and typing the number of seconds under Refresh this
dashboard automatically.
