When you assign a home folder to a user, the new information is not set to the user account and you may receive the following error message:
The home folder could not be created because: Access is denied.
The information after the colon (:) in the error message may vary, depending on the cause of the problem.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because only certain error messages are handled and permitted for the home folder that you created when you assign a home folder to a user. If the error message is not handled or permitted, the information is not updated in Active Directory.
RESOLUTION
The snap-in is updated in this hotfix so that the account information is updated and a warning message is displayed to the administrator that the folder must be manually created.
