The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2002
This article was previously published under Q285487 SYMPTOMS
When you change the Picture layout of your Photo Album slides in the Format Photo Album dialog box, the picture layout is changed but blank slides unexpectedly remain in your presentation.
This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:
- You select 1 picture with title in the Picture layout list of the Format Photo Album dialog box when you create your presentation.
-and- - You add titles to the slides in your presentation.
-and- - You select 1 picture in the Picture layout list of the Format Photo Album dialog box, and then click Update.
-and- - You select 2 pictures or 4 pictures in the Picture layout list of the Format Photo Album dialog box, and then click Update.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the blank slides remain in your presentation because they have titles. The Photo Album Wizard does not delete slides that have been edited after being modified by the Photo Album Wizard. It also does not delete slides added to the presentation after you run the wizard.
WORKAROUND
To remove the blank slides that you do not want, use one of the following methods.
Method One- Click the Slides tab (in the left pane of the presentation window).
- Select the slide that you want to delete.
- On the Edit menu, click Delete Slide.
Method Two- Click the Outline tab (in the left pane of the presentation window).
- Select the title of the blank slide, and then press DELETE.
- Repeat step 2 for all of the blank slides.
- On the Format menu, click Photo Album.
- In the Format Photo Album dialog box, click Update.
