To assign the Return key functionality to a button on your Microsoft IntelliMouse pointing device:
  1. On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels, and then click IntelliPoint.
  2. Click the Buttons tab.
  3. Click the desired button to make the assignment.
  4. Under Select an action, click Keystroke.
  5. Press and hold down the SHIFT key, and then press the Return key.NOTE: The Press a key box, should read 'Return.'

  6. Click OK.
  7. Close the IntelliPoint dialog box.
