Works 2000: Cannot Edit Objects Created with the Newsletter Wizard (284989)

When you start the Newsletter wizard from the Task Launcher in Microsoft Works 2000, you may not be able to edit the primary headline.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you choose to use a format that uses more than one column.
NOTE: These forms were originally created in Word 2000 and exported to Works Word Processor format. The Word feature to edit the text box converts the text box to a Word Graphic format. You can move or resize the text box in Works 2000, but you cannot edit the text box.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, delete the components that you want to change, and then replace them with the objects that you want.
For example, if you want to change the primary headline:
- Click to select the object that contains the primary headline.
- On the keyboard, press the Delete key.
- Insert a graphic or a text box, and then edit that object.
MORE INFORMATION
This issue does not occur in Microsoft Works Suite 2000 or Microsoft Works Suite 2001, because Word can edit these forms, properly.
This issue does not occur in Microsoft Works 6, because it uses a different wizard.
