OL2002: The Message Body Does Not Appear in a Message (284321)

SYMPTOMS

When you reply to or forward a message, the body of the message does not appear in the new message and the recipient of the replied to or forwarded message only receives the message header.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the message header was downloaded with Remote Mail, but the message body was not downloaded before the message was replied to or forwarded.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, download the message body before you forward or reply to the message.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft Outlook should prevent messages that have not been downloaded from being forwarded or the replied to. If you click Reply All to messages that have not been downloaded, the following error message may occur:
This task cannot be performed for message headers. Download the complete messages, and then complete the task.
This same error message appears for the Forward and Reply actions.
